A complete beginner diving into Web3
Today is my first day learning about Web1, Web3, and the development of Web3.
Web1 (2000-2010)
It was a read-only internet consisting of text, images, and GIFs, with specialized institutions and platforms publishing content.
Web2
Users created content on platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and WeChat public accounts. Ownership belonged to the platforms (Creator Economy Era, where creators can earn money through their content).
Web3
A value-driven internet where users create and own their data, existing on a decentralized network. The ownership of the network belongs to the nodes. (Applications may issue tokens, where token ownership is akin to equity). 0 reply
