Has the system (evolution) created within itself a creature that can stop the system’s influence on itself? Meta, ik. Serious question though.

If you zoom out, artificial selection is still natural selection. The anthropocentric idea that humans selecting for traits in other species is presumptuous of the fact that our free will is both true & significant/meaningful, and that we are the lens through which the rest of the world is observed.
