Italy is № 1 country on my travel bucket list. I am especially inspired by retro photos. Perhaps the old charm of the country has faded since those photos were taken, but I keep dreaming and strongly believe that my dream will come true one day...

May your dream come true! I was lucky to visit different parts of Italy in my childhood, and would be happy to go back there again.

sounds like a whole adventure) I've never heard of Alla city and its story) and yes, I've heard form many ppl, that sometimes it's rather hard to find English-speaking Italians and this might be kinda trouble)

Yes, lots of interesting memories! The first trip was to meet a friend of my mum's who lives in NY, and we had to go from Verona to Venice to meet them, but we got the wrong train and went to the north of Italy. The funny thing was that the conductor didn't speak English, but was able to tell us where we needed to get off to change to the right train. And then he waved at us from the window) And we had an hour to walk around the small mountain town Alla, then afterwards we found out that velvet was produced there in ancient times.
