Part of the Red Kite Collection. November 2023 💎 The Red Kite is a distinctive bird of prey which has become so common to see hovering above the Yorkshire countryside that they're almost part of the landscape. It's strange to think they were extinct in England and Scotland for 200 years before a reintroduction scheme began in 1989. Today there are hundreds in Yorkshire alone – a nice reminder of the positive, restorative impact we can have on our environment with focused effort.
