I'm having a hard time communicating with my friend. We have been friends for years, but our meetings have been infrequent because her husband is an abuser. He thinks that if she does something without his permission, it's cheating. And then he may even use physical force.
I try not to talk to her when her husband is around. At such times she changes completely: she doesn't call, she doesn't write. And if she writes, it's only to tell some made-up story, where she exaggerates 100500 times and adds something from herself.
