2/9 For the past 10 days, heavy rains have led to extensive flooding in Brazil's southern region, with the crisis ongoing as water levels remain high.

- 500K displaced
- 75K sheltered
- 143 deaths and counting

3/9 Many cities are now over 90% submerged, devastating homes, businesses and vehicles. Rebuilding will not be an option for many; instead, complete relocation will be necessary.

4/9 The flood's magnitude is so immense that its effects are observable from satellite imagery.

5/9 During the flooding crisis, ordinary citizens became extraordinary rescuers, both using boats to rescue those stranded and providing shelter, food, and donations to their neighbors.

6/9 The web3 community can also extend aid, leveraging decentralized collective resources and networks to provide assistance during such a painful crisis.
