As my ability to grieve has grown, I have discovered a lot of unresolved grief that perhaps stems from a lack of care early in my life, when I really needed it to develop and thrive. I think all the weird, girly, dreamy, pink-bubbly colorful creatures are helping me mourn these unmet needs, and love myself. I'm no longer forced to play the emotionless stoic.
