According to Cointelegraph, the European Union will transition from national laws on Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) to the Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA) by December 30th. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is providing an example for this transition by freezing CASP applications and warning market participants of upcoming changes. Starting from October 17th (the date of announcement), CySEC will no longer accept CASP applications submitted under the laws of Cyprus. CASPs successfully registered under national law before the deadline of December 30th will be able to operate in that jurisdiction until July 1st, 2026, unless authorized or denied authorization under MiCA Article 63 prior to that date. @esujad
