I keep trying to tell people it's all happening sooner than we're mentally prepared for

yeah

i think part of it is bc many benchmark progress with hyped new releases of chatgpt or claude or whatever

then a company comes out of the blue with what seems like insane progress bc they were totally off the radar (eg: this, haha)

everyone is like 😳 and soon…the cycle repeats itself
