for future reference: seems like reconnecting rainbow to WC by toggling preferred wallet off and back on to rainbow fixed the issue

Hey! Stealing @grunt.eth reply: other users were able to reconnect by switching the connection in Warpcast to Coinbase, then back to Rainbow

Then it worked fine for them after that!
