In Canada your vote is private and auditable and that’s not immediately available in a trusted way rn. Ballot boxes and hand-counting may seem archaic, but it’s a well-understood, battle-tested, accessible system. Many edges cases have been handled and people trust it. Even with zk tech it’ll take awhile before enough people trust blockchain enough to trust it for voting.
