Since the $20m fund for @morphl2 , my fundraising times at @gitcoin , and the mentorship work I do, I’m always asked about fundraising so I decide to start writing about it https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2024/04/12/how-to-get-funded-in-crypto/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=rss&utm_campaign=headlines

Would you agree that VCs take more than they give most times or that they are the perfect move for startups?

Honestly, it depends on the VC. All money isn’t good money. Something founders forget to do is their own due diligence. There’s a whole whisper network of founders who talk about what it’s like working with each fund. And it’s super important info.

Fair point, so having access to this whisper of founders is insider information, or is it out there for anyone to see who cares to look hard enough?

Definitely out there for anyone. Go to portfolio pages for VCs and just reach out to founders. Almost everyone’s email is just firstname@domain. I’ve found them to be quite forthcoming and I’ve done a lot of cold reach outs that way myself.
