As a solo staker tbh I’d prefer not to increase it. In the long-term users will have to migrate to L2s anyway and with EIP-4844 around the corner why further bloat L1?

I feel like I will have to (and already had in the past) upgrade my storage capacity regularly as the state grows quite fast already

Just hope I won’t have to upgrade my SSD again then before we get EIP-4444 and verkle trees lol

The rationale is that in the long term, with things like Verkle and 4444, the storage requirements for a solo staker can be quite low. I personally have a 4TB ssd and though that might be under capacity for a world of increasing gas limits, I expect never to reach that point with history expiry and statelessness
