As the US embraces crypto and gives us for the first time certainty about our industry, the crypto killer app DeFi is witnessing its renaissance. Finance is a millennia-old concept. People were taking loans before the Roman Empire. It’s baked into civilization itself. Blockchain and DeFi now let us fully automate and decentralize it.

DeFi solves a millennial-old problem and therefore it's hard to think that any other narrative will have the same success. However, few understand that GameFi embodies the latest DeFi trends and technologies. Fully Onchain Games a.K.a. GameFi is not only built on the latest DeFi trends, it will push DeFi innovation as virtual economies become more complex and gamified. Games also have historically served as a playground for new technologies.

Building these games onchain presents significant technical challenges, and only the most skilled and experienced teams in the industry can successfully pull it off. This is why I’m so bullish on @proofofplay They’ve developed an engine that simplifies building onchain games, allowing developers to focus and innovate on what matters for this industry, the DeFi part.
