yes, the plan is to make DCs:
1) work well
2) programmable (apps can use them to message users)
3) interoperable (use them in other clients)
4) decentralized

we are close to having 1 and starting on 2

@horsefacts.eth bumping this for a more direct answer. If it’s not encrypted, do DCs become visible to all via the API or some other onchain or off chain mechanism?
