This is the 1974 XLCH that I restored a while back...the bike mileage is correct...it sat in a barn for about 20 plus years.. I always had a love for the 1974 XLCH .. maybe its the profile of the bike... or just maybe it was my first Harley-Davidson...it took about 10 months to restore.. The motor was rebuilt from the crank pin out with new rods and .20 over pistons... This thing just turned 50 years old this year...and what a piece of IRON it is... That is also my original 1974 plate on the back ... that I had from my first XLCH... the tank is the original paint job...but everything else had to be redone...and a little spot job on the tank to make it perfect... I also have to add... thanks to Youngstown Harley-Davidson/ Biketown...for finding some of the original parts to put this back together again... George in the parts dept. is the man.. The wheels are new and are laced up with stainless steel spokes and nipples….the bike is now over 50 years old and is pretty much stock.
