Alfred Bernhard Nobel is a Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor and gunsmith known as the inventor of dynamite. He was the owner of Bofors Arms Factory from 1894 until his death and was instrumental in transforming it from an iron smelter to a modern gunnery and chemical factory.

Nobel also wrote a play called "Nemesis" in prose form, which is a tragedy in four characters about an Italian noblewoman named "Beatrice Sensei". This prose, which is partly taken from the drama Sensei by Percy Bish Shelley,
