Nexera protocol lost $1.8 million after a cyberattack
The Nexera blockchain infrastructure protocol was attacked, as a result of which attackers stole $1.8 million. The vulnerability has been discovered, and the company is negotiating with law enforcement agencies. As a result of the attack, the NXRA token contract was suspended, and trading on decentralized and centralized exchanges such as KuCoin and MEXC was temporarily suspended.
The NXRA token rate fell by 40%, reaching $0.036, which shocked investors. Analysts reported that the hacker is associated with other recent incidents in which private keys were compromised. Currently, the attacker owns 32.5 million NXRA tokens and $555,000 in USDT stablecoins.
Nexera said that of the stolen assets, only $440,000 were compromised, and the rest were frozen. The attack was part of a broader coordinated operation, but Nexera's efforts helped minimize the damage. 0 reply
