We said that Bitcoin is functionally just like the money we know well. In this sense, Bitcoin is a tool for transferring value and an intermediary for the exchange of goods and services; But the nature of Bitcoin has serious differences with common money that we call fiat currency.

Bitcoin is inherently digital and exists only in electronic form, without a physical counterpart. Fiat currency exists in both physical (cash) and digital forms (bank accounts, digital wallets).
