Stan Shih founded Acer in 1976 along with his wife Carolyn Yeh and five others in Taiwan, initially naming the company Multitech. Acer started by producing electronic parts and later shifted to manufacturing and marketing its own branded PCs. Shih's leadership and strategic vision helped Acer become one of the world's top computer manufacturers. His focus on innovation, globalization, and adaptability enabled Acer to thrive in the competitive tech industry and expand its presence globally.
