Trump to issue executive order to make digital currencies a national priority

Sources close to the incoming US administration have told Bloomberg that Donald Trump plans to issue a major executive order on digital currencies on January 20, coinciding with the start of his presidency.

The order, which will make digital currencies a national priority, will include the formation of a digital currency advisory council, a review of regulatory policies and possibly a halt to lawsuits against major companies in the industry.

It is also said that the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve to manage $20 billion in the US government’s digital currency assets will also be part of the order
