The “mask” we put on our faces is a metaphor for the persona we present to the world. It’s not a literal mask, but rather a combination of: Social expectations - Self-preservation - Desired image the key is to be aware of the “mask” we wear and to strive for a healthy balance between social appropriateness and genuine self-expression. /masks
