A veteran cryptocurrency trader who goes by the pseudonym Ash Crypto has claimed that the Chinese government plans to lift its ban on Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies by the end of 2025.

While the claim has been widely welcomed by cryptocurrency activists, no credible evidence has been provided to support it.

Forbes analysts have stated in a report that given the strict stances of the People’s Bank of China and other regulators, the possibility of the ban being lifted is very low at least until the end of Xi Jinping’s term in office in 2029.
