One of the biggest shifts in NFTs is that Ethereum mainnet is down to creating to only 0.5% of all new collections in August

Layer 2s are now in control with Base leading the way with ~67% of new collections and Zora in second with 29.4%

Most interesting patterns I have observed around NFTs lately:
1) Majority of NFT trading volume is now not happening on Ethereum due to the emergence of Bitcoin ordinals, Solana, Base, and others
2) NFTs are becoming more liquid. ERC 404s were the start of this but I think you are seeing more and more examples of this with Zora or the recent DeGods token
3) NFTs aren’t just for art and PFPs - I have seen more projects in areas like DePin start to use NFTs as a way to track records and memberships
