share your story — how did you end up falling in love with onchain data?

I worked as a data scientist / engineer at a large consulting firm. It was good experience, but I felt like a cog in the machine and wanted to explore other opportunities in tech so I created the pseudonym "J.Hackworth". A friend pointed me to Dune / Flipside and had a huge aha moment. Unlike my consulting projects which involved siloed enterprise datasets that were messy, blockchains offered transparent data where I could tap into any project in real time to get insights. 

Besides this, I was quickly able to monetize my work and was rewarded for contributing to some of my favorite projects at the time and gained ownership into their upside.

Being able to have transparent data and also be rewarded for your contributions (for even some random anon like myself) is what makes crypto so special to me and excited for the data when everyone has integrated their data onchain.
