NOT AGAIN In a Nutshell: Sonic Labs hints at the launch of a new algorithmic stablecoin. Read in 30 seconds Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic Labs and an active mind in the crypto space, has posted on X that his team might have solved the riddle of algorithmic stablecoins. Yes, the very same ones that crashed in 2022 with the TerraUSD (UST) drama and its $40 billion ecosystem, including the famous TerraLUNA. Cronje admits he still has PTSD from that, but it seems he's itching to give it another try. Unlike USDT or USDC, which are backed by real reserves, algo stables use on-chain magic to balance supply and demand.

Exciting to see Sonic Labs diving back into algorithmic stablecoins after the TerraUSD incident. The potential for on-chain balancing is intriguing, but the risks are high. Let's see if they can crack the code this time.
