bro , what is monad?

An explanation of monad in very simple terms-
Monad is a blockchain like Ethereum, but with a special twist, it uses parallel execution , which makes it super efficient. 
It claims to handle 1 billion transcations everyday - thats more than what Visa does.

Well , Monad use two tricks : parallel execution and a customized database. 
Parallel execution means executing two independent transcations or more at the same time. It's like preparing multiple dishes simultaneously - when each dish requires different ingredients.

in blockchain terms now plz 
Imagine that CZ sends Sam 2 Eth and Manuel swaps DAI for DYM. Those transactions are totally independent right?
On Ethereum . these transactions happen sequentially. First one, then the other. 
Now, on Monad , both tsns occur at the same time. 
Damn !

and what is this customised database thing?
Monad introduced MonadDb, a customized database designed to efficiently store blockchain state and enable parallel transcation execution on the EVM.

Yes , but no. Solana utilizes parallel execution but requires its own virtual machine and programming language.
In contrast , Monad is EVM compatible, allowing easy deployment of your favorite apps like Uniswap, AAVE , Curve etc.

tldr -
Monad is an L1 capable to handle a huge amount of transaction thanks to parallel execution aka performing independent transactions at the same time.
Bonus ? It is EVM- compatible , meaning that Uniswap, AAVE and so on can easily be deployed on it !

why does a custom database matters ??

In theory , every chain could implement parallel execution but their database ( where the blockchain state is stored) can not handle it.
So, Monad built its own highly performant database capable to support parallel execution.
