In the 15th century, a family with 18 children lived in a village near Nuremberg. Two brothers, Albrecht and Albert Dรผrer, dreamed of becoming artists, but they could only afford to send one to study. They decided to flip a coin: the winner would study, and the loser would work to support his brother. Albrecht won and went to study, while Albert worked in the mines. Years later, Albrecht became a famous artist. Upon returning home, he offered Albert the chance to fulfill his dream. But Albert's hands, deformed by hard labor, could no longer paint. In gratitude, Albrecht drew his brother's hands, calling the piece "Praying Hands."

It's not an appropriate name, because the artist's hands were supposed to be praying for his brother

I couldnโ€™t convey the full story due to the character limit here. The painting is called โ€œHands,โ€ but people have given it a different name, calling it something else.
