appreciation

2016 a literal bucket list item was checked off for me. As a kid, I played Pokémon at the card shop weekly and some MTG casually. I always wanted to work at Wizards, like most 90’s kids did.

Then I had the opportunity- my IP Licensing Lab professor and my Trademark Lab professor were both on their legal team so naturally I busted my butt, talked to them, to our Externships liaison, interviewed, and landed a spot at the happiest place on earth.

It was only a half year term as part of my Juris Doctor program but it was the most meaningful time I have ever spent in law.

I did ask if they let people keep badges for sentiment — unfortunately no — so I made sure to take a photo so I can always delve back into the nostalgic times. 

I think the legal I knew mostly cycled out. Caitlin went to Nike and Nick moved up within Hasbro. Honestly though, I’d go back in a heartbeat. Someone pay for me to get back to Renton. 

It really was the best work and experience I EVER had ANYWHERE in my life. 😂
