Today I'm on a streak of asking silly questions! Saw @dwr.eth’s tweet (liked and reshared), but I've got no idea what are Hubs. 
Could anyone share a blurb about what are Hubs and why are they critical in the Farcaster ecosystem?

Hubs are like rims & hub-caps on a car.

You need the rims with tires for the car to move (1-hub) but then you get multiple hub-caps, you want all of them to look the same, but if 1 falls-off you still got the other 3. 

The wheels make the car useful, like the hubs make the data useful for us to socialize.

I’d add that anyone can run a hub which is what allows the “decentralization” to occur, synching with others hubs constantly. Like a car syncs its wheels via gears and shafts.
