What does it mean for an artwork to be made by @xcopy.eth?

Take NGMI, for example, which was auctioned at Sothebys. The artwork was actually minted by XCOPY, but OpenSea considers an unknown wallet—the deployer of the contract—as the creator. 

This brings us to an important question: is the creator the deployer or the minter? Well, it depends; sometimes it's neither.
