They're both horrible of course, but on reflection I'd say that engaging with intellectually dishonest people is worse. You have some respect for their intelligence and this causes you to waste time talking to them. Whereas with the new dumb trolls I just can't be bothered.

The more important question is whether it's possible to create a social media app where you don't have to deal with either kind of troll. I'm not sure, but my guess is yes. It's still early days. And if it is possible, that's a very exciting idea.

Agree. I think that's good. Wonder what effect it would have on the whole protocol if the major client incentivizes spam. It should be fine. Where are the clients though? I'm actually excited to use Supercast when they launch the free version.
