Streaks and achievements work because they tap into our innate desire for progress. The number goes up, and we keep coming back. Reddit does this well. You miss a day, you start over. The sunk cost fallacy kicks in - you’ve already invested 75 days, so you don’t want to break the chain again. You chase the achievement, the karma, the status. Warpcast could use this. People don’t just post for engagement; they post to see their number go up. To prove to themselves they can be consistent. To signal their dedication. Streaks aren’t just numbers. They’re momentum.
