Why not just add walletconnect so people can use whatever app they want rather than locking them into a walled garden?

True. But the solution is just not allowing users to use any apps outside of Warpcast? Why not add tooltips to the UI, and maybe some checks to prompt users to retry?.. There are probably many solutions. "This one feature is sub-optimal and therefore we can't make a fully-functional wallet" isn't a rationale that makes sense as a user, fwiw.

we want one mobile first experience that's fast and reliable 100% of the time. tooltips and prompts and checks got us into the mess we're all in today

Fair enough I suppose. Reason I'm asking is because I'm working on a onboarding project where we have dozens of newbies who wanna network on Farcaster. Warplet seems like a good way to pop their crypto wallet cherry.. But they can't participate in our DAO or do other onchain things outside of Warpcast. So now we have to explain why, etc. Kinda just trading one problem for another y'know?
