European mind cannot comprehend this. Americans treat their politics like basketball games - with stars singing, crowds shouting, and everyone zealously supporting their side. It looks much more entertaining than our cold European politics, but I guess this sports fan attitude might play a role in polarizing society.

talking about this video specifically, not the fact that the conventions are a spectacle. you're right about the concept tho. the hulk hogan one for example was ironic so it was fun. lil john thing wasn't ironic so it was kinda cringe.
