Yep, some commercial bridges do that, but they also let you know about it. Here, the swap is not shown in the UI.

That was definitely not advertised. The official bridge took 7 days just bcs od that, being directly related to the optimistic stuff, right? If it was a swap, why a need for 7 day wait time?

Well that's not cool nor OK. A freakin' shitload of transparency is expected here. Especially after the L3 collapse that one time.

Yep, I think somewhere along the way the canonical bridge was replaced with a commercial bridge in the background. 

Not sure when and why that happened. I assume it was a decision made by @decentxyz, who runs the bridge.
