GM fam! If you bought (or plan on buying) a dGEN1 from Freedom Factory, and you’re in their Discord … BE CAREFUL !!!! An account attempting to impersonate their customer service reached out to me AFTER seeing that I had messaged their customer support team in the #support channel. I reached out to them for a minor issue (not related to updating RPC - whatever that is) Thankfully, I’ve been in this space long enough that my spidey senses started to tingle. As soon as they sent the link and wanted me to walk through the process with them, I took a screenshot of the conversation and reached out to an official member of the team and asked them to open up a support ticket (that way I knew it was someone from the project). Then, inside the ticket I shared the same screenshot posted below. Two different team members were immediately responsive. They were thankful for the heads-up, immediately banned the user from the server and reported it out. Stay vigilant frens

I've had this happen to me on Reddit EVERY SINGLE TIME I asked a wallet related question (Keplr, MM, Electrum, etc). Immediately a DM is coming from "tech support". I always replied with: "why are you not answering in the post?". Then reported them. Same here. Thx for the visibility @geaux.eth, people should know this.

Absolutely 💯 I figured with something like this (a new piece of tech no one has seen before) there’s going to be lots of opportunities for bad actors out there.

oh absolutely But honestly, it's just as prevalent out there right now in other ways: - Medicare scams - Nigerian prince emails - Phone calls to donate to the Union Militia of Paralyzed Firefighters Crypto's not really any different - it's just a newer technology
