Some people on a no-named social media are stating that IMF called BTC "digital gold" and that it will include it in their reserves. 

Make no mistake, this is a massive misinterpretation of the line from the report. While IMFs full report does mention BTC, it is never explicitly calling it "digital gold". 

The line goes "new digital assets designed to be used as a means of payment or act as a store of value", key part being "designed to be". E.g. algorithmic stablecoins were also designed to be... well... stablecoins. We all know how that turned out. 

This is (for a lack of a better word) progress and I am cautiously optimistic. But this is probably not the catalyst people are making it to be.
