@vitalik.eth is there any good research in how to value ecosystems? I do start to wonder that we have no valid concepts for that actually. GDP is a form of it, but it leaves certain things out and has been evolving, when I look at climate impact initiatives I always feel we don't really have a way to put a value on it. So it feels like ecosystems are hyperobjects that we struggle to capture but desperately want to have a number (value) in order to make them more real?

An early insight I am brewing on is that I increasingly believe that the "crypto community" is entirely missing out on crypto is literally adopted left and right, but that we are too stuck in our own echo chambers, to realize it the future happened already awhile ago.

the way we need to read this type of adoption is that a use case is winning. from a current research stream i am on is that stablecoin user do not identify themselves as crypto users. they enter through wanting fast payments / finance the rest of our hot debates most often do not matter to them.

honestly one of the biggest issue we have in the entire space we fight over the same users rather collectively think about getting for the next users… but infighting is easier than facing the demons and skeletons we still have in our trenches
