Might be a hot take in these parts, but: I don’t think society should be focusing on longevity research

Quality of life > quantity of life

Interested in human flourishing & social infrastructure | slowly building /firstdraft | markfishman.xyz

por que no los dos? i'd argue we have the resources to enable both at scale (besides, longevity is also preoccupied with quality of life for the later parts of it)

we could also try to solve world hunger before going to space, but we live in a society, we don't have to make sense

I think there’s definitely an overlap! 

But making life longer feels like it should be the goal only when everything else about life has been solved?
