With an increasing need for privacy in Ethereum, I’m surprised more people haven’t at least tried out railwayXYZ. It’s available on Layer 2s where the fees are minimal. A few steps to shield an unshielded tokens from your private railway address into a public one but worth it if wanting to keep adds unconnected.

Railgun is a bit different in the sense that you can have privacy at rest, as soon as you shield funds to a private address they remain private until you pull them out. Also, as you mention there are private transfers swaps and DeFi, anonymity is boosted from the type of interactions you can do.

The TX above could be for $10 worth of value or it could be $10 million, no one would know. The sender could be anyone, some rando to @jimmykimmel, no one would know. The coolest thing is, it's a valid TX & Jimmy now privately owns those tokens according to Ethereum consensus.
