Social media is not the endgame of the internet Your grandkids (or at least a generation or two) is going to tell you how much of a boomer you are for still clinging on to your social media (back in my day I used to be on Farcaster all the time, okay grandpa)

I sometimes think about role of text in the future mass communication. Will we stick with text+media feed for this century or are we going to come up with something new?

Lindy Effect hints us text will continue dominate but seeing the rapid advancements in VR/AI, TikTok usage; it’s not clear to me text will continue to be main medium of remote communication.

I think it comes down to bit rate How much data can we pass through - will our mechanism for TX/RX of that data change? Right now, spoken language is a protocol, and we can transmit a certain bit rate through it. Written language can do a bit better bit rate, but BCI unlock is big - can there be more than that too?
