I couldn't see much difference in everyday usage between Studio Display and $1k LG UltraFine.

My use case is limited, however. I mostly read text and write code. I could use old CRT monitor for all intents and purposes

it’s justified to me by how good the damn colors and picture quality are compared to everything else—if you’re a designer, that sometimes truly makes a difference
