total newbie here and we have a very nice frame app today tomorrow. I see people able to detect if someone has recast or liked a frame... but can't figure out how to discover it within a frame. Anyone got a link to the spec/docs?

Depending on what you're using, it's wrapped up in different ways. Most libs are using Neynar to get the data, here's how onchainkit exposes it: https://onchainkit.xyz/frame/types#framevalidationdata word of caution: most folks don't think much of frames that require likes/recasts to interact with them.
