Last night, @legallyjen shared her incredible journey, from the courtroom at age 9, fighting a sexism lawsuit, to winning gold with Team USA, and now coaching the NJ Wave, a brand-new women’s tackle football team. I’ve been cheering for her to share this story publicly for the 13 years we’ve been together, and seeing it inspire a room full of people was powerful. We also explored how onchain tools can help empower female athletes, reducing the pay-to-play burden and continuing the push toward a more fair and equitable future in sports. “The whole thing is stupid” well said by a 9 year old @legallyjen !! When I heard this story I almost couldn’t believe there would be any backlash about a 9 year old wanting to play on a boys soccer team So glad your parents had some courage and didn’t back down!! Beautiful story and I’m sorry you had to deal with the fall out afterwards 😢
