tbh last time, in the nft cycle, many artists esp in notable pfp projects were merely hired as 'commissioned artists' like paid a flat fee as opposed to a cut or true collaborator or having a stake in the project.
i wish more tech devs understood that creators aren't just users. they are more like cultural architects. they should involve them in shaping values, co-designing the product, and asking "what are we actually solving for"
the best creative tools don’t just give artists more output, they give them more authorship. more control over their vision, their audience, and their value. communication gets better when there’s mutual respect: devs who see creators as collaborators, and creators who feel like they’re being invited to build the future, not be disrupted by it
as for ai, it's harder to put to words but i think artists just need to actually use it more to have a better understanding of how to work with the tech rather than push against it. bc it's coming whether they like it or not 3 replies
