✨ Introduction to pod(Partially Ordered Dataset) Network. (part 1) pod is a new Layer 1, which creates the real revolution in transaction processing. The uniqueness of pod is to use no consensus architecture to achieve high speed of transaction processing. ❌ Refusal from consensus. pod is using “streaming transactions”, which sends directly to validators. They are adding signatures, thanks to speed of transactions reach 200ms. To get transaction confirmation you need to collect signatures more than half of validators (α = 2/3 validators), so majority will consider trx as valid. 👨🏻‍💻 EVMx solution. pod supports EVMx, which provides compability with Ethereum and allows developers to use Solidity. More information about EVMx will be shared soon. 🛠️ Extensions. The introduction of extensions to the pod Network has made it possible to increase functionality and to optimize the network. To make it, pod is using cryptographic schemes or techniques from traditional databases.

1. Secondaries Each validator singing a transaction and sending it to secondaries, where information is caching and going to other nodes. This extension helps to decrease load on all of validators. 2. Gateways To make transactions more economical, client sending transaction not to all validators directly, he’s sending it to gateway, where transaction is transferred to validators, signing, and returns back to the client. 3. Thin validators. Merkle Mountain Ranges (MMR) - each lift of the tree is pair of transactions with timestamps. It allows validators to not store the entire transaction log, but only the latest peaks of MMR. 4. A combination of Merkle Trees and Segment Trees let clients to check information about smart contracts and be assured that data had not been falsified.
