Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has expressed support for engineer X Haofei's announcement of the decentralized social network Farcaster. Haofei said that X will make “likes” private. On May 20, Buterin developed this idea further, proposing that Farcaster implement zero-knowledge (ZK) likes to combat preference falsification—the distortion of true preferences due to social pressure or fear.
