But if we put enough qubits together we can use the outcome of nearby qubits to check our math

If the error rate is low enough, we call this group of physical qubits a logical qubit, since the group together performs logic

Now, once you have a reliable logical qubit, like Microsoft's Majorana "tetron" pictured below, you can tile them across a substrate using known 3-5nm chip manufacturing techniques.

That means your 1st logical qubit is pretty close in time to your 1st 1000 logical qubits

Physical qubits are prone to error because we can only observe an end outcome & we're unsure if we perfectly controlled the qubits to behave as expected
