A smart state actor or commercial blackhat will not go after immediately obvious wallets, because that would announce to the world that quantum supremacy is here

We think they'll target smaller wallets, $2m - $100m, who haven't moved funds in 5 - 10 years, and wait for a new ATH

You see, quantum computer hackers don't have to reveal their attack right away, they can "collect and decrypt." That means you may not know if your keys have been stolen until they decide to withdraw the funds.

Once there's a new ATH, they can liquidate many wallets at once

To an outside observer, it'll look like OGs who are finally taking profits on their long-term HODL. If someone complains that their funds were stolen, people can chalk that up to bad opsec—"Did you store your private key in a password manager? 😏"

- premine a rewind attack
- sell all the BTC
- deploy a new heaviest chain that reorganizes the BTC back into the wallets they sold from, &
